Rangers striker to join former Celtic chief

Middlesbrough boss Gordon Strachan is ready to sign Rangers and Scotland striker Kris Boyd on a free transfer this week.

Strachan has made a concrete move for the goalscoring ace who has also been linked with Birmingham City and Blackburn Rovers in the Premier League.

Boyd has decided to quit the Glasgow giants and play for the former Celtic chief.
