Arsene Wenger believes Yossi Benayoun has put his injury hell behind him and is ready to become a star for the north London club.

Benayoun has been forced to wait patiently for his chance following his move from Chelsea and has only started six League games.

The Israeli international was ruled out for the majority of last season with an Achilles problem and failed to make any major impact at Stamford Bridge. He is now starting to get back to his best once again.

Wenger is expecting big things from him in the final five games of the season.

The Arsenal boss said: “Yossi has been very patient and very professional.

“He is getting back to his best. The problem was more physical because he plays on his sharpness and quick movement. He had a big injury and it took him time to return. Now he is back.”
