Rovers to cope with Barr absence Albion will begin life without Bobby Barr when they take on Montrose after the midfielder was told to find another club.
Manager Paul Martin lost patience with Barr after seeing the player become involved in a furious half-time row with Rovers number two Todd Lumsden in last weekend's game at Berwick.
Martin said: "I have made a decision I feel will be of benefit to the team. This issue would have had a destabilising effect if I didn't do anything about it." To make matters worse for Barr, he was then told he would be losing his job at the roofing company he works for, which is jointly owned by Martin.
To say it's been a bad few days for me is the understatement of the year as it's been an absolute nightmare," said Barr.
Albion have no new injury worries ahead of the clash and Martin added: "We need to get our focus back and put on a performance." Montrose's injury problems are slowly lessening and manager Steven Tweed will have two more players to choose from when he leads his men down to Coatbridge.
Goalkeeper Andy McNeil should be fit after a back spasm forced him to miss the clash with Livingston and Sean Crighton has served a one-match suspension.
Steven Coutts did well against Livi with some good saves and solid handling, but Tweed is ready to call on the greater experience of McNeil.
Crighton may have to wait to get his place back as the back four performed well against Livingston, despite the final scoreline.
Tweed added: "Gordon Pope is back in training but he is not match fit. He could probably play 25 minutes from the bench if necessary.
"His recovery has been hampered because we have had a couple of U19 games put off because of the weather.
Albion vs Montrose

Honours even at Cliftonhill Albion and Montrose played out a lacklustre 0-0 draw in Division Three.
The home side started the better of the two sides and should have taken the lead after seven minutes when Steven McKeown shot wide from Alan Reid's cross.
Andy McNeil was called into action when Paul Stewart struck a powerful shot, but the Montrose keeper turned the effort around the post.
Montrose thought they had snatched all three points late in the day when John Gemmell slotted home, only for the goal to be ruled out for the linesman to flag for offside.
