Cherries sweating over Fogden fitness Bournemouth are sweating over the fitness of midfielder Wes Fogden ahead of the visit of Leyton Orient in npower League One on Tuesday.

Fogden suffered an ankle injury during the 1-0 defeat at Chesterfield on January 27 and is unlikely to be fit enough to line up against Orient.

Winger Donal McDermott will be hoping for a recall to the side after dropping to the bench for the goalless draw at Hartlepool on Saturday, while Cherries manager Lee Bradbury has a host of players missing due to ongoing injuries.

Bradbury will be without captain Adam Barrett, who has been ruled out with a hamstring problem, while Mathieu Baudry (hamstring), Joe Partington, Shaun Cooper, Mark Molesley and Nathan Byrne (ankle) are still short of match fitness.

Striker Charlie Sheringham will miss the rest of the season with a foot injury, while goalkeeper Shwan Jalal has been sidelined for at least five weeks after undergoing a routine back operation.

Ryan Dickson will be in the Leyton Orient squad for the trip to face Bournemouth.

Dickson last week joined the O's from Southampton on loan for the rest of the season and is set to make his debut at left-back after Saturday's clash with Huddersfield was postponed.

Striker David Mooney is struggling with a thigh injury and will be handed a late fitness check along with on-loan Cardiff midfielder Solomon Taiwo, who should shake off a groin problem.

Last season's first-choice keeper Jamie Jones is finally fit after a summer shoulder operation and played for the reserves last week, but Lee Butcher is expected to get the nod in goal again.

Smith picks off Cherries Jimmy Smith scored his sixth goal of the season to dent Bournemouth's play-off aspirations as Leyton Orient recorded a shock 2-1 win.

Despite the hosts dominating the opening exchanges, with both Matt Tubbs and Wes Thomas testing Orient goalkeeper Lee Butcher, it was the visitors who opened the scoring through Kevin Lisbie in the 16th minute.

Ryan Dickson crossed a hopeful ball to the far post where the evergreen Lisbie found space to manoeuvre a low shot, which goalkeeper Darryl Flahavan spilt into the net.

The Cherries replied in the 33rd minute, when Thomas' forward pass fortuitously rolled past Tubbs to the unchallenged Marc Pugh, who applied a neat finish to equalise.

An action-packed first 45 minutes was followed by a second half of few openings.

With 15 minutes to play and on a rare outing inside the Cherries' penalty area, Smith rose above his opponents to head in Jonathan Tehoue's precise delivery.
