County short at back Notts County face a defensive shortage ahead of their trip to Bournemouth.

Julian Kelly suffered a calf injury during the Magpies' 2-0 FA Cup win over npower Championship outfit Doncaster, while fellow full-back Alan Sheehan is suspended after picking up a booking in the same match.

The duo will be on the sidelines along with centre-backs Sam Sodje (hamstring) and Krystian Pearce (groin), both of whom have failed to shake off the injuries that kept them out of the win at the Keepmoat Stadium last week.

However, the Magpies have bolstered their ranks with the signing of Nottingham Forest defender Kieron Freeman on a month-long emergency loan deal and the defender could make his debut against the Cherries.

Midfielder Ishmel Demontagnac returns to the fold after completing a three-match suspension to boost Martin Allen's squad.

However, fellow midfielder Gavin Mahon (hamstring), defenders Stephen Hunt (ankle) and Jude Stirling (knee) and goalkeeper Rob Burch (knee) remain unavailable.

Bournemouth will be without the injured Charlie Sheringham.

The striker has been ruled out for the rest of the season following surgery on a foot injury and Cherries boss Lee Bradbury has several other players struggling ahead of the meeting with the Magpies.

Defender Mathieu Baudry will not take part after aggravating a hamstring problem, midfielder Shaun Cooper is still a fortnight away from a return with a groin niggle and Mark Molesley (leg) and Joe Partington (ankle) remain sidelined.

However, Bradbury will be able to call on Charlie Daniels, Adam Barrett, Shaun MacDonald and Scott Malone, who has all overcome their respective niggles to be available for this weekend's fixture.

On-loan full-back Nathan Byrne has resumed full training following an ankle operation, but he is still short of match fitness and will not be included.

Fogden keeps Cherries on the up Wes Fogden's brilliant strike stretched Bournemouth's unbeaten run to five matches as they came from behind to beat Notts County 2-1.

Fogden blasted home from 15 yards, but owed a debt of thanks to substitute Shaun MacDonald, whose mazy run set the chance up on a plate.

County sprinted into an early lead with Hamza Bencherif's spectacular strike. A free-kick was tapped sideways for the former Algerian Under-20 international to crash home an unstoppable shot from 25 yards.

Bournemouth levelled in the 20th minute when Michael Symes's shot was only parried by County goalkeeper Stuart Nelson and Wes Thomas was on hand to sweep home the loose ball.

County came within inches of restoring their lead before half-time when Jeff Hughes was given time to turn and hammer a shot against the underside of the crossbar, but the referee's assistant ruled the ball had not crossed the goalline.

Nelson redeemed himself with a full-length save to deny Simon Francis and then reacted superbly to claw away Bournemouth defender Stephane Zubar's close-range header, but could do nothing to keep out Fogden's effort in the 83rd minute.
