Duo doubtful for derby day Brechin City enter tomorrow's derby game against Angus neighbours Arbroath with doubts over skipper Neil Janczyk and striker Rory McAllister.
Janczyk is suffering from a viral infection and McAllister is still feeling the effects of a work-related facial injury so it will be a last-minute decision as to whether or not they will be fit to face the Lichties.
Midfielder Kevin Byers gets married tomorrow so he will also miss the game but Richard Walker, Jon Seeley and Ian Nimmo all return to the squad.
Manager Jim Duffy is looking forward to pitting his wits against new Arbroath boss Jim Weir.
He said: "I would like to congratulate Jim on his appointment as Arbroath manager after a spell out of the game. There's no doubt that the Arbroath players will get a lift from the appointment of a new manager and they'll certainly be fired up for tomorrow's game." "It's difficult to know how Jim will set out his side's stall for the game, but we have to be ready to respond however Arbroath approach the match." "Our record at home this season has been very good, and we want to see that continue tomorrow. If we play to the standard we're capable of, I'm confident we'll get a good result." New Arbroath manager Jim Weir believes instilling his players with confidence is the key to getting the Lichties' season back on track.
He said: "When I look at the squad of players I have got here I feel we shouldn't be in the position we're in and now it is down to me and my assistant, Kevin McGowne, to find a confidence in the players, because there is no doubt they need a confidence boost.
"I think as soon as we get that win we can get Arbroath back on track, especially at home because I know the supporters want to see their team winning games at Gayfield.
"I have worked with some of the players such as Steven Doris at St Johnstone and Keith Gibson and Ian Dobbins at Montrose so I wasn't going into training completely blind." Weir will be able to kick off his tenure with a full squad to choose from as he has no injuries or suspensions.
Brechin vs Arbroath

Dour draw in derby Third-placed Brechin were held to a goalless draw by lowly Arbroath in a disappointing derby match that failed to hit the heights.
Brechin were first to threaten after 12 minutes when Rory McAllister's header was saved by Darren Hill.
Marc McCulloch went close for Arbroath midway through the first half with an effort which had to be tipped over by Craig Nelson.
A fierce drive from McAllister was well saved by Hill shortly before the break.
