Davis with clean bill of health Crewe manager Steve Davis has no new injury concerns as his side welcome Crawley to the Alexandra Stadium.

Kelvin Mellor (knee) and AJ Leitch-Smith (ankle) are the only absentees for the clash, with Davis attempting to mastermind a third-straight home victory.

Michael West has returned to training following illness, but is not likely to be included in the squad as he continues to build up his match fitness.

Teenagers Max Clayton and Ryan Colclough were both named on the bench in the 3-3 draw against Sheffield United on Tuesday night as they put their injury concerns behind them.

Clayton will be looking for his first start in over a month against Richie Barker's men, while Colclough is still waiting for his first appearance after missing 11 games with a broken jaw.

Mark Ellis, Mathias Pogba, and Chuks Aneke were all on the scoresheet against the Blades and will keep their places in Davis' starting line-up.

Richie Barker could hand Connor Clifford his Crawley debut.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international moved to the Red Devils from Chelsea on Thursday in a loan deal which will see him stay at the npower League One outfit until January.

Barker told the club's official website: "Conor is a player our management team including (Director of Football) Steve Coppell and (Chief Scout) Martin Hinshelwood have identified for some time.

"Chelsea rate him very highly. He is a very good midfield player and he will add significantly to our options as we approach the busiest time of the season.

Dalle Valle at double for Alex Lauri Dalla Valle's second-half brace secured a 2-0 win for Crewe and left Crawley without a league success in six games.

Crewe could have been behind straight from the kick-off, but Matt Tootle blocked Michael Jones' goalbound backheel and Gary Alexander drove the loose ball against the post.

The Alex regained their composure and Nicky Adams provided some quality deliveries for the visitors, but Mark Connolly and Alexander failed to find the finishing touches with the goal at their mercy.

Matt Tootle dragged a shot wide from 25 yards for Crewe, Dalla Valle was off target with a rasping volley and Mark Ellis saw a goalbound header clawed away by Paul Jones and Luke Murphy crashed the rebound against the crossbar.

But the home side took control when Dalla Valle headed in Murphy's 50th-minute free-kick. The on-loan striker doubled his account five minutes later when Chuks Aneke's superb through-ball found Moore and the winger centred to give Dalla Valle an easy finish.

Dalla Valle fired over, Murphy shot wide, Abdul Osman headed over and Pogba chipped into the sidenetting as Crewe failed to extend their lead despite dominating the entire second half.
