Selection posers ahead for Crawford Stevie Crawford admits that he will have some tough decisions to make this week as his side look to get back on track against Peterhead.
He said: "We've been trying to play more attacking formations but we don't really look comfortable unless we're playing a 3-5-2 and that's a bit of a headache.
"So I've had to watch how the boys trained this week because I may have a few tough decisions to make." This weekend Neale Cooper brings the Blue Toon to Bayview with the boss sure that his men will face a tricky 90 minutes.
Peterhead sit just four points above East Fife in fifth place and Crawford said: "They had a good result against Stirling at the weekend so will take confidence from that. But I keep saying to the boys that when we're playing as well as we can do that we can compete." Goran Stanic and Scott Thomson have both had clean up operations with Thomson expected to return within the next five weeks.
Paul McManus suffered a back spasm during the derby while Paul Sludden is expected to be fit for the weekend after also taking a knock.
Shaun Fagan is suspended.
Like Crawford, Cooper is expecting a close game and a tough afternoon.
He said: "It's going to be a hard game for us again on Saturday, but over the piece against them we have a reasonable record.
"We are looking forward to it and hopefully we can continue our good form and give the fans another cracking game.
"The team has been working really hard in the past few weeks and that has translated into some very good results." Bobby Mann returns from suspension, leaving Scott Michie as the only player not available this weekend.
However, Cooper insists he is still on the look-out for new players, despite his side's great form.
East Fife vs Peterhead

Peterhead battle to win Peterhead came from behind to clinch a 2-1 win against 10-man East Fife in a controversial encounter at the Bay View Stadium.
The Fifers had the lead within four minutes as Jamie McCunnie's pass split Peterhead's defence for Paul McManus to round the goalkeeper and hit the back of the net.
Fife goalkeeper Mark Rodgers brilliantly tipped Nick Clarke's free-kick over the bar in the 75th minute, before McManus missed a great chance to seal the win.
The hosts were made to pay for McManus' miss when Martin Bavidge thumped a header off the bar with little over 10 minutes remaining and the referee decided that Bobby Mann's effort from the rebound had crossed the line.
