Hatch battling to be fit Gateshead boss Anth Smith is sweating over the fitness of striker Liam Hatch ahead of their meeting with Barrow.
Hatch missed the Boxing Day win at Barrow due to illness and was also absent for Saturday's draw at Lincoln.
James Brown and Yemi Obudabe formed recently-appointed Smith's forward line in the victory against the Bluebirds but were dropped at Sincil Bank.
Liam Henderson and Ryan Donaldson linked up at the weekend but neither were able to get on the scoresheet, meaning it could be all change again.
Smith has no other injury or suspension worries and otherwise has a fully-fit squad to select from as they look to edge closer to the Blue Square Bet Premier play-off positions.
Barrow boss Dave Bayliss is expected to name the same threadbare squad from Saturday's FA Cup defeat to Macclesfield.
Bayliss was only able to name 15 players out of a possible 18 against the Silkmen and will be forced to travel light again.
The Bluebirds are bottom of the Blue Square Bet Premier table, without a league win in eight games and must focus all their attentions on survival after being dumped out of the cup.
Attacking duo Danny Rowe and Joseph Jackson came off the bench at the weekend and will be pushing for a starting role while Garry Hunter is also in contention as they look to reduce the six-point gap at the bottom.

Boyes buoys Barrow Adam Boyes' first-minute goal saw bottom-of-the-table Barrow begin 2013 with a first league win in nine matches as Dave Bayliss' side defeated Gateshead 1-0.
Boyes netted after just 52 seconds, getting on the end of Tom Anderson's cross from the left-hand side of the penalty area to beat Adam Bartlett from close range.
Ryan Donaldson and Liam Henderson both went close with efforts to get Gateshead back on level terms before the half-hour mark.
James Marwood then threatened for the hosts but he too missed the target.
Bartlett kept it at 1-0 with an important save to deny Sean McConville just before half-time.
