Problems aplenty for Accies Hamilton goalkeeper Tomas Cerny and defender Mark McLaughlin are expected to miss out against Morton through injury.

Skipper Alex Neil, Ali Crawford and Greig Spence are all doubts after suffering injuries in the 2-2 draw at Dundee on Saturday.

Grant Anderson looks set to return, with boss Billy Reid hoping his men take their chances.

He said: "We are playing with a lot more confidence and should have more points on the board. If we can take our chances better then we will win more games than we have been and have a decent end to the season.

"Morton battled against Falkirk at the weekend and got their pride back after losing heavily to Motherwell, so this will be a tough contest." Morton captain Stuart McCaffrey remains sidelined with a heel problem for the trip.

Goalkeeper Colin Stewart, who played against Falkirk at the weekend with a broken toe, could miss out.

Defender Marc Smyth is also a doubt with the injury he suffered on Saturday.

Cappielow manager Allan Moore is targeting three points and said: "A win would lift us up into fourth place and after a difficult period that would be acceptable.

The Ton back to winning ways Morton recorded their first win in six outings in a 2-1 win over Hamilton at New Douglas Park.

The Ton took the lead after 24 minutes, Archie Campbell latching onto Thomas O'Ware's long ball before finishing from close range.

Morton doubled their advantage five minutes later through David O'Brien's fine strike from the edge of the area.

The visitors nearly added a third before the interval when Peter McDonald headed over the bar inside the six-yard box.

Hamilton came close immediately after the restart but Mark Stewart's effort was well saved by Colin Stewart.

The Accies did pull a goal back after 85 minutes when Andy Ryan headed home Grant Gillespie's cross.
