Slade struggling to pick stopper Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade has a goalkeeping dilemma ahead of the npower League One visit of Colchester.

Last season's first-choice number one Jamie Jones was on the bench at Preston last weekend, his first appearance in the squad this term after a summer shoulder operation.

Jones also proved his fitness in a midweek friendly against Tottenham, but deputy Lee Butcher kept a clean sheet in Orient's 2-0 win at Deepdale to press his claims to stay in the team.

Slade also has options in defence with Ben Chorley returning from a ban and Adam Chicksen shaking off the knock which sidelined him last week.

Solomon Taiwo will be added to the squad after arriving on loan from Cardiff but fellow midfielder Stephen Dawson (ankle) is still out and winger Lee Cook has gone back to QPR after his loan expired.

Colchester centre-back Matt Heath has suffered a fresh injury setback.

Heath finally returned to the bench for last weekend's disappointing 2-1 home defeat to bottom club Chesterfield having overcome a groin injury.

But the defender, who would otherwise have been in contention for a starting berth at Brisbane Road, picked up a new groin strain in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Monday and has now been forced back to the sidelines.

Manager John Ward is likely to have striker Kayode Odejayi available after a sore ankle ruled him out against the Spireites, while loanee Gavin Massey could make his full debut having been introduced off the bench last Saturday.

Forbes hands it to U's Terrell Forbes' own goal was enough to secure Colchester a hard-earned 1-0 win against Leyton Orient.

Karl Duguid delivered a low cross from the right in the 28th minute which Forbes, under pressure from Ian Henderson, turned past his own goalkeeper Lee Butcher from four yards out.

The visitors missed a golden opportunity to increase their advantage a minute after the break when Anthony Wordsworth split the Orient defence to send Gavin Massey through with only Butcher to beat, but after rounding the goalkeeper the striker put his shot wide from 10 yards.

Orient's best chance arrived after only seven minutes, but Kevin Lisbie shot straight at goalkeeper Ben Williams from just outside the six yards box.

Lisbie seemed to be brought down by Magnus Okounghae just before the interval, but the referee waved away appeals for a penalty.

Orient piled on the pressure in their search for an equaliser in the last 20 minutes, but were unable to get the better of a resolute Colchester defence, which provided a fine protective shield around Williams.
