Hewitt on injury list Wales Under-21 international Elliot Hewitt is the latest addition to Macclesfield's injury list ahead of the crucial clash with fellow npower League One strugglers Plymouth.

Hewitt took a heavy kick to his leg as Gary Simpson's side drew 1-1 with Oxford to end a run of eight consecutive defeats on Saturday, but the highly-rated full-back is not expected to be a long-term resident of the Silkmen's well-stocked treatment room.

Ross Draper (broken metatarsal) and Lewis Chalmers (hernia) are continuing their rehabilitation at the National Sport Centre at Lilleshall, while ankle injuries are responsible for keeping fellow midfielders Dwayne Mattis and Tom Fisher, along with defender Paul Morgan, on the sidelines.

Bolton loanee Mark Connolly made his debut alongside Ben Futcher in the heart of defence against the U's and Nat Brown could contest a place at centre-back if he recovers from a back problem.

Another debutant on Saturday was goalkeeper Richard O'Donnell, on loan from Sheffield Wednesday, following injuries to Jose Veiga (thigh) and Steve Collis (shoulder).

Tony Diagne (hamstring) is out and Carl Tremarco serves the final game of a three-match suspension.

Plymouth are hoping to have Joe Lennox back from illness in time for the trip to Macclesfield.

Lennox was kept away from the Pilgrims' training ground last week to avoid affecting the rest of the Plymouth squad and has not featured since February 4.

Striker Warren Feeney will not play a part. Feeney has been struggling with a calf injury which has also ruled him out of international duty for Northern Ireland in their friendly match with Norway this week.

Donnelly denies Pilgrims George Donnelly earned Macclesfield a vital point with the last touch of the game as they drew 1-1 with relegation-threatened rivals Plymouth.

The striker converted a Marcus Marshall cross with a neat header to earn Macc only their second point from the last 10 games. On-loan Sunderland playmaker Conor Hourihane had given Plymouth the lead with a 71st minute strike.

Macc skipper Matty Hamshaw brought the game to life in the 35th minute with a fierce drive which skimmed the bar. Three minutes later Colin Daniel was again inches over for the home side with a 20-yard volley.

Ben Futcher should have put Macc ahead after 55 minutes but slid the ball wide from eight yards and Plymouth keeper Jake Cole then produced a stunning fingertip save to tip a Hamshaw drive over the bar.

Hourihane sent a 25-yard inches wide in the end-to-end contest but in the 71st minute he lashed a 15-yard volley through a group of defenders which on-loan keeper Richard O'Donnell could only palm into the roof of the net to give Plymouth the lead.
