Curle tipped to ring changes Notts County boss Keith Curle has no fresh injury concerns as he aims to make it two wins from two since taking over at Meadow Lane when Chesterfield visit.

The Magpies secured a 1-0 victory over Stevenage during the week and Curle has hinted at making changes to his defence and midfield.

As a result, defenders Jon Harley, Sam Sodje and Liam Chilvers and midfielders Hamza Bencherif and Ishmel Demontagnac will be hoping for starts.

Defender Stephen Hunt (ankle) and goalkeeper Rob Burch (knee) remain sidelined but Jonathan Forte and Ben Burgess should be fit.

Burch has returned to full training but this game is likely to come too soon for him.

County are unbeaten in their last five games at home and will be hoping to push on under the guidance of the former Manchester City stalwart.

Chesterfield manager John Sheridan hopes to have David Davis and James Hurst fit for the trip.

Midfielder Davis has been ill since his excellent performance against Sheffield Wednesday while right-back Hurst missed that 1-0 victory because of an ankle injury.

Left-back Gregor Robertson tweaked a hamstring against the Owls and could be out for a couple of weeks.

Dean Morgan kept his cool to score from the penalty spot in front of 2,800 Wednesday fans last Saturday and he is pushing for a start.

Fellow forward, and former Magpie, Craig Westcarr played an hour for the reserves in midweek and he could be involved against his old club after missing the last eight matches with an ankle injury.

Forte fires up County Jonathan Forte's goal 10 minutes from time maintained new Notts County manager Keith Curle's 100 per cent record with a 1-0 win over Chesterfield.

In the first period Lee Hughes shot over the bar and then fired the ball across the area to namesake Jeff, but although the midfielder had two bites of the cherry both were saved by Tommy Lee.

County continued to dominate for the rest of the half, with Alan Judge's daisy-cutter easily dived upon by Lee, while the Spireites failed to register a single shot against Stuart Nelson.

However, the home keeper had to be alert two minutes after the break to deny substitute Jordan Bowery and Jack Lester.

In the 80th minute, Neil Trotman's error saw the ball fall to on-loan striker Forte, and the Barbados international calmly slotted his shot into the far corner.

Judge hit the underside of the bar in the final five minutes while Kieron Freeman headed off the line to secure the victory.
