Sodje back for County Sam Sodje will return to the reckoning for Notts County as the visit of Huddersfield kicks off the club's 150th-year celebrations.

Sodje missed the defeat at Oldham through suspension after collecting his fifth yellow card of the season during the loss at Sheffield United on Tuesday.

Manager Martin Allen, who has hinted that he could give some of the club's younger players an outing, must decide whether to restore the big defender to his starting line up or stick with Mike Edwards, who came in for Sodje on New Year's Eve.

Alan Judge was carrying a knee injury against Oldham and was forced off early in the second half at Boundary Park but the midfielder could still feature.

Ishmel Demontagnac will serve the second game of a three-match suspension while fellow midfielder Gavin Mahon (hamstring), defenders Stephen Hunt (ankle) and Jude Stirling (knee), and goalkeeper Rob Burch (knee) remain unavailable.

Notts were formed in 1862 and are the world's oldest professional football club.

Huddersfield striker Jordan Rhodes is expected to shake off a foot injury in time for the clash.

Rhodes, who has scored 21 goals in 22 appearances for Town this season, including six in his last three matches, received a kick on the foot during Friday night's 1-1 home draw with Carlisle, but should start.

Skipper Peter Clarke returned to central defence following suspension on Friday and will retain his place alongside Antony Kay.

Manager Lee Clark, who has no new injury or suspension problems, will have defender Liam Ridehalgh available following his return from a loan spell at Swindon, but goalkeeper Alex Smithies (knee), defender Calum Woods (ankle) and midfielder Damien Johnson (hamstring) remain sidelined.

Magpies hit back to hold Terriers Notts County came from two goals down to share the spoils with Huddersfield in an entertaining 2-2 draw at Meadow Lane.

The scores had remained level until the 52nd minute when Huddersfield midfielder Gary Roberts headed in from close range after good work from in-demand striker Jordan Rhodes.

And six minutes later Roberts returned the favour to set up Rhodes for another close-range header - his 20th league goal of a remarkable season and his ninth in Town's last seven games.

That was harsh on County and they deservedly got themselves back in to the game after 72 minutes when Jeff Hughes dispatched confidently from the penalty spot after Alan Sheehan had been brought down by Tom Clarke.

And the home side levelled the game six minutes from time when veteran striker Lee Hughes was played in by Alan Judge and his deflected shot wrong-footed Ian Bennett to make it 2-2.
