Dickov set for unchanged squad Paul Dickov is poised to name an unchanged squad as Oldham pursue a third consecutive home win against Colchester.

Skipper Dean Furman has suffered a setback in his rehabilitation from a knee problem and the game comes too soon for him.

In Furman's absence, 18-year-old Carl Winchester was brought into midfield and impressed alongside Norwich loanee Tom Adeyemi during Saturday's 1-0 victory over Tranmere.

Striker Reuben Reid (thigh) and Zander Diamond (hip) both returned from injury lay-offs to be named among the substitutes against the U's and are expected to resume duties on the bench.

Paul Black is an absentee as the full-back continues to recuperate from a hamstring injury picked up in the 5-0 defeat at MK Dons, while midfielder James Wesolowski (shoulder) is a long-term absentee.

Colchester will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing draw at home to Rochdale as they travel to Oldham.

Right-back Brian Wilson overcame illness to face Dale at the weekend and he will continue to be monitored to ensure that he is fit enough to play again.

Manager John Ward has a near full squad to choose from with only winger Ashley Vincent unavailable as he steps up his return from a hamstring injury.

Andy Bond came on from the bench at the weekend after scoring a hat-trick for the reserve side and he will again be pushing for a starting berth after the U's failed to score at the weekend.

Wordsworth foils Latics Top scorer Anthony Wordsworth rescued a point for Colchester as they hit back to draw 1-1 at Oldham.

Ex-Fulham trainee Keanu Marsh-Brown set Oldham on course for three points but Wordsworth denied them with his 10th goal of the season Colchester striker Freddie Sears blasted an early shot over the bar and Ian Henderson should have done better from Steven Gillespie's far-post cross.

Oldham missed a clear-cut chance after 34 minutes as Marsh-Brown latched on to Magnus Okuonghae's poor header and fired off target when clean through on goal.

Marsh-Brown made amends three minutes later, forcing home from two yards after Jean Yves Mvoto's header was palmed out by keeper Ben Williams.

Shefki Kuqi could have doubled the Latics' lead before Colchester sub Kayode Odejayi headed over wastefully from close range.

The U's, however, levelled nine minutes from time as Martin Rowlands sent in a left-wing free-kick and Wordsworth converted a simple six-yard header.
