MacDonald set for full debut Alex MacDonald will be hoping to make his full Plymouth debut in the npower League Two clash with Barnet.

The striker, signed on loan from Burnley on transfer deadline day last month, came off the bench to score the equaliser in the 2-2 draw with Southend on February 4.

The Pilgrims have not played since then, with bad weather forcing the postponement of their meeting with Macclesfield on Saturday, but MacDonald is now primed for a start against the Bees.

The young forward will have to oust either fellow loanee Juvhel Tsoumou or Nick Chadwick to earn himself a place in the starting line-up.

Otherwise, manager Carl Fletcher has no new injury worries, although Warren Feeney is still out with a calf injury, while defender Curtis Nelson is available once again after recovering from a knee problem.

Barnet will be without Charlie Taylor.

Striker Taylor was sent off just 12 minutes after coming on as a substitute towards the end of last Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat by Swindon and starts a three-match ban.

Boss Lawrie Sanchez could name an unchanged starting line-up after an encouraging display against the promotion hopefuls, with Alessane N'Diaye set to take Taylor's place on the bench.

Sanchez is still without defender Danny Senda and striker Steve Kabba, who both have knee injuries, while winger Mark Marshall remains suspended after testing positive for a banned substance.

Obita denied in Home Park stalemate Barnet debutant Jordan Obita almost capped a fine debut with a wonderful goal as Plymouth held out for a 0-0 draw.

The on-loan Reading 18-year-old smashed a 35-yard free kick against the bar with impressive Argyle goalkeeper Jake Cole beaten just before the hour at Home Park.

It was not the first time the Bees hit the woodwork. In the first half, Clovis Kamdjo hit the post with a cracking 18 yard shot in the 16th minute.

Kamdjo went close to scoring again moments later when his flicked on header needed to be parried over by Cole, who made a string of second half saves to keep the Bees at bay.

Barnet manager Lawrie Sanchez will be wondering how his side did not break the deadlock during a succession of second half corners, when Cole and central defender Darren Purse cleared inswinging Mark Byrne deliveries off the goalline.

At the other end Argyle's on-loan Burnley striker Alex MacDonald came closest to scoring for the home side.

In first half stoppage time he latched on to a poor backpass to push the ball just past the far post with Bees keeper Dean Brill beaten.

Then in the 86th minute Barnet central defender Paul Downing cleared MacDonald's angled drive off the line in a crowded goalmouth.
