McMenamin missing for final Queen of the South will be missing the goal threat of striker Colin McMenamin in the ALBA Challenge Cup Final against Ross County as he is cup-tied.

Midfielder Rocco Quinn is out with a hamstring problem, while youngster Daniel Orsi also misses out through injury.

Manager Kenny Brannigan is looking for his men to repeat the form they showed three weeks ago when they defeated the Dingwall side 2-1.

He said: "If we play like we did that day we will lift the cup. We competed really well and stood strong when they tried to put us under the cosh in the last 15 minutes.

"It would be a great achievement for this group of players to win something after a difficult season at the club." Ross County striker Steven Milne has been passed fit.

Darren McCormack is a long-term absentee and is the only player not included in manager Jimmy Calderwood's squad.

The final is a welcome distraction in a disappointing season for County, with boss Calderwood saying: "This will give us a breather in terms of looking to survive in the league.

"As a boy growing up you dream of days like this when you play in a cup final or play for your country.

Striker Barrowman opened the scoring in the ninth minute when he fired home a right-footed shot from six yards.

And midfielder Vigurs added a killer second in the 39th minute, connecting with a cross from Michael Gardyne and rifling a right-foot effort into the bottom corner from 12 yards.

Vigurs almost added a third 12 minutes after the break when he fired over the crossbar when well placed as Queen of the South struggled to gain a foothold on proceedings.
