Griffiths set for Millers bow Rotherham will hand a debut to on-loan defender Scott Griffiths against Swindon.

The left-back signed until the end of the season on Tuesday and will replace Jon Harley, who has returned to Notts County following the end of his loan deal.

The Millers have been out of action since January 2, allowing forward Gareth Evans time to recover from a thigh niggle.

Winger Sam Wood will stay in the XI after agreeing a new loan deal from Brentford until the end of the season.

Long-term ankle injury victim Ryan Cresswell has returned to full training and will play in a reserve fixture next week, meaning goalkeeper Jamie Annerson and defender Luke Foster (both knee) are the only absentees.

Swindon will be without the suspended Alan McCormack.

The centre-back picked up his 10th booking of the season during the 1-1 draw at Barnet in the two sides' Johnstone's Paint Trophy southern section area final first leg on Tuesday and serves the first match of a two-game ban.

Joe Devera, who enjoyed a brief cameo from the substitutes' bench at Underhill in midweek, is expected to deputise for the Robins.

Forward Billy Bodin is available for selection once again after sitting out the Barnet clash and last weekend's 2-1 victory over Wigan in the FA Cup as he was cup-tied, but striker Mehdi Kerrouche will not travel to Don Valley.

Kerrouche has not featured under manager Paolo Di Canio since the 1-1 draw at Bristol Rovers on December 11 and is tipped to leave the County Ground this month.

Di Canio, meanwhile, will have to watch the game from the stands after he was hit by a one-match touchline ban by the Football Association following his excessive celebrations at Northampton on New Year's Eve.

Robins maintain promotion push Swindon held off a second-half fightback from Rotherham to keep their promotion challenge on track with a 2-1 victory.

Rotherham were stunned by two first half goals in a minute from Matt Ritchie. The first came after 19 minutes when Callum Kennedy's high ball into the area was only headed clear as far as Ritchie, who thrashed home a superb left-footed volley.

Less less that a minute later Ritchie did it again. From almost the identical spot the midfielder hit a powerful drive that took a deflection off a defender and wide of Rhys Taylor's despairing dive.

Millers striker Alex Revell headed just wide from Sam Wood's corner shortly after the restart, but was on hand to reduce the arrears after 53 minutes.

Chris Holroyd chased a lost cause down the left but got his cross in before clattering into the advert boards and Revell out-jumped everyone to head home.

And Rotherham came within a whisker of an equaliser after 73 minutes when Lewis Grabban slammed a shot against the upright from Wood's corner.
