A 3-0 victory over Arbroath on Saturday has hoisted the Warriors off the foot of the table and another three points against Dumbarton at Ochilview this weekend would lift their spirits, and league placing, even further.

Boss John Coughlin, who has his squad fully fit and raring to go, said: "It's an incredibly tight league. The win at Arbroath lifted us two places up the table and, if we were to beat Dumbarton on Saturday, we would leapfrog them." With four wins and a draw in the last six games, Dumbarton boss Jim Chapman is feeling confident about tomorrow's game.

He said: "Stenhousemuir did well last week by taking the points against Arbroath in their 3-0 win, so as ever, it will be a hard match.

"But our lads are in good form right now and we are playing well in our own right.

"There is now great competition for places as we have a fully-fit squad, although Andy Geggan missed last week's game due to the injury he sustained against Arbroath.

The home side dominated the first half but failed to make their dominance pay before half-time.

The second period was all Dumbarton as the home side struggled to get going, and the Sons showed their hosts how to score in the 49th minute when Roddy Hunter took advantage of a combination of poor defending and good play to place the ball into the bottom corner.
