Stirling aim to bounce back against title rivals Stirling Albion go into Saturday's derby match with Alloa at Forthbank three points clear at the top of Division Two after going down 3-2 to Peterhead on Saturday.
It was only a second league defeat in 12 outings for Allan Moore's men - the other was at Alloa in September.
However, they have won only one of their last four games amidst uncertainty over the manager's future and, off the pitch, tax demands that threaten the club's very future.
Boss Allan Moore said: "Good starts don't mean anything - we went into last week's match with a five-point lead but that's nothing, it can be gone in two games.
"I would rather we had got battered and won 3-2 but we lost the game and we just need to focus on the Alloa match now." The Binos will be without the services of Ross Forsyth who is suspended after his red card against Peterhead last week.
Alloa can move within three points of the top with a victory.
After the recent injury crisis at Recreation Park, the club go in to the derby game with no fresh injuries to report.
It is hoped Chris Townsley will have recovered from his flu bug, while Gary Carrol, who only made the bench against Clyde because he was suffering from an ankle knock, and Hugh Kerr will all be available for Saturday.
Boss Allan Maitland said: "It's amazing to think, after our recent run, that a win on Saturday could put us within three points of the leaders. A defeat would leave us trailing by nine points right enough.

Stirling knocked off the top Stirling surrendered top spot in the Second Division as they slumped to a 1-0 defeat to Alloa - and lost their unbeaten home record in the process.
The only goal came in the 23rd minute when Andy Scott smashed home a penalty after Kenny Feaks was adjudged to have fouled Stuart Noble in the area.
Stirling pushed for an equaliser in the second half but John O'Neill headed just wide from an Andy Graham cross.
The visitors threatened on the break and should have sealed it after 87 minutes when Mark Brown ran clear, but his shot was saved by Scott Christie.
