AC Milan are hoping to thwart Manchester City's ambitious plan to sign Ronaldinho by agreeing a deal with the Brazil star within the next 48 hours.
Although Barca confirmed they have received a £25million bid from City for the 28-year-old, the playmaker is understood to favour a move to Milan.
Their chief executive Adriano Galliani flew to Barcelona yesterday to try tie up a deal for Ronaldinho, who has been told he must find a new club this summer.
But Barca president Joan Laporta said: "Ronaldinho and his agent have two interesting proposals and they are leaning towards the one from City."
