Wales Under-21 international Daniel Alfei has become the latest youngster to sign professional terms at Swansea, penning a one-year contract.
The 18-year-old, who can play at full-back or centre-half, completed his scholarship at the end of last season and has now put pen to paper on a pro deal, just four days after fellow starlet Lee Lucas. Alfei, who joined the Swans at the age of 14, told the club`s official website: "There`s no better feeling than signing for your hometown club.
"I grew up supporting the team from the stands so to be given a professional contract is a dream come true. It`s going to be a lot of hard work but I`m looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead."
Meanwhile, Swansea have arranged a pre-season friendly against League Two Cheltenham at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday July 24 (3pm kick-off).
