American investors close to Sheffield Wednesday takeover

An American investment company is set to take over debt ridden Sheffield Wednesday.

The Chicago-based group called Club 9 Sports are in talks with the Hillsborough club which has debts of £27 million.

Three groups are interested in the club but negotiations with 9 Sports are at an advanced stage.
