Anti-racism campaigner tries to snatch World Cup trophy

A Spanish fan wearing an anti-racism T-shirt tried to grab the World Cup trophy moments before players walked out for the start of the match.

The supporter, wearing a shirt bearing the slogan 'Jimmy Jump Against Racism' darted out of the a corner of the Soccer City stadium towards the pedestal on which the trophy had been placed for Spain and Holland to parade past.

He reached the trophy and appeared to be putting a miniature red hat on it when was tackled by security guards and led down the tunnel past the waiting players.
