Wenger still in dark on Wilshere's return

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger remains cautiously optimistic on the recovery of midfielder Jack Wilshere, who has not played yet this season because of ankle problems.
He told Arsenal Player: "Jack's scan was positive. There is no problem, it is normal evolution and he is continuing his progression.
"It is too early to fix a date, though. We go day by day with him."
While Wilshere could yet feature before the end of the domestic campaign, and therefore potentially play for England at Euro 2012, the Gunners' German defender Per Mertesacker is not expected back from his ankle injury.
Wenger added: "I believe Per will be out for the rest of the season. There are only six weeks to go (this season), so I don't think he'll be sharp enough to come back and play.
"He would need to train and get back to full fitness."
