Stan Kroenke finally broke his silence at the Arsenal AGM to pledge his full support to Arsene Wenger - and promise that he is in for the long term.
US tycoon Kroenke is the club's majority shareholder, but has been dubbed Silent Stan because of his failure to address the club's frustrated fans.
However, he started by joking about his presence at the meeting, saying: "I don't really know what I'm doing here!"
In a speech that only lasted a couple of minutes, he added: "Arsenal has all the elements that you need to have success in this kind of business.
"[The club] has tremendous management at the top, a wonderful manager on the pitch who makes great decisions in regard to personnel, and a tremendous following with the supporters.
"With all those things in place, it was an easy decision for us to get more involved."
Kroenke also stood at one point to speak up on behalf of Peter Hill-Wood, after the Arsenal chairman came under fire from shareholders and their questions.
