Theo Walcott claims he would be “rubbish” without his pace.
The Arsenal winger is one of the fastest players in the Premier League and confessed it is the biggest part of his game.
Walcott, in an interview with Soccer AM to be shown on Sky Sports 2 today, joked: “I’d be rubbish! It’s about touch as well, but pace in the Premier League is massive.
“I’m fairly quick. I’d be up there. There’s a lot of pacey players in the Premier League but I’d be right up there definitely.”
Walcott also confessed to how much the Gunners’ 8-2 Old Trafford defeat hurt as well as insisting former Everton star Mikel Arteta will be a great signing for Arsenal.
Walcott said: “It (Manchester United) hurt a lot.
“Seeing the players go through that, no player wants to be part of that.”
He added: “Arteta, for me, is an outstanding player. He can just spot a pass. He’s absolutely fantastic.”
The full interview with Theo Walcott will air on Soccer AM, Sky Sports HD2, from 10 am.
