Gonzalez wage demands jeopardise Prem move

Lucho Gonzalez's £115,000-a-week wages are proving a stumbling block to his Premier League hopes.

Marseille have agreed to offload the Argentine play-maker in January and he wants to come to England.

But the 30-year-old's huge Euros 7million annual gross salary mean his French club must either subsidise his wages or wave a loan fee.

Gonzalez nearly joined Arsenal in August and now has other top-flight clubs including Everton interested.
