Real Salt Lake scored twice in the last two minutes to win 3-2 at Portland Timbers and go top of the Western Conference.

Alvaro Saborio put the visitors in front with a 38th-minute penalty, but Darlington Nagbe's brace after the break had Portland in front.

Substitute Jonny Steele brought Real level in the 89th minute and Kyle Beckerman's goal won it at the death.

San Jose Earthquakes moved level on points with Real with a 1-0 win at Seattle Sounders. Chris Wondolowski scored the only goal of the game with a penalty in the 24th minute.

David Beckham's Los Angeles Galaxy lost 3-1 at home to New England Revolution.

Early goals from Kelyn Rowe and Chris Tierney put the visitors in control and Saer Sene added a third midway through the second half. Robbie Keane pulled a goal back 12 minutes from time, but it was too little too late.

Bernardo Anor's second-half goals earned Columbus Crew a 1-0 lead at Toronto FC, while the match between Philadelphia Union and Vancouver Whitecaps ended goalless.
