Arsenal star set to join Atletico Madrid in January

Philippe Senderos is set to quit Arsenal for Atletico Madrid next month.
The Swiss centre-back has fallen to fourth choice at the Emirates this season behind William Gallas, Thomas Vermaelen and Mikael Silvestre.
Senderos, 24, has asked boss Arsene Wenger to either sell him or loan him to the Spaniards, who currently sit just above the drop zone in La Liga.
Born to a Spanish father, defender Senderos is eager to kick-start his career with Switzerland World Cup squad places up for grabs next year.
He had a loan spell with AC Milan earlier this year, and has just made two Carling Cup appearances this season.
“I need to seek a solution as I’m not playing for Arsenal,” Senderos said recently. “A change of clubs in winter is an option, and I am keeping all doors open.”
