Arsenal tracking St Etienne midfielder Blaise Matuidi

Arsene Wenger is tracking St Etienne midfielder Blaise Matuidi.

Matuidi, 22, has been recommended by Arsenal's French scout Gilles Grimandi and fits the bill for Wenger.

The powerful France youth international is valued at about £5million.

The Gunners are also looking at Rennes midfielder Stephane Mbia, who has 12 caps for Cameroon.
