CSKA Moscow and Borussia Dortmund inquire about Arsenal star

Arsenal have had interest in Czech midfielder Tomas Rosicky from CSKA Moscow and Borussia Dortmund.

But that is unlikely to happen now the club have sold Eduardo to Shakhtar Donetsk. Arsenal wanted to trim the squad before making a move for Joe Cole but he got fed-up of waiting and went to Liverpool.

Arene Wenger is an admirer of Nice striker Loic Remy - who is a target for Liverpool - but, despite making an enquiry to sign him on loan in January, is unlikely to pursue his interest unless they offload someone first.

After shipping out Eduardo, Wenger is now focused on strengthening his defence, signing a keeper and also trying to get a defensive midfielder.
