Aston Villa's double defender swoop

Aston Villa boss Martin O’Neill hopes to buy two new centre-backs today as he closes in on Richard Dunne and James Collins.
Dunne, 29, has agreed to join from Man City in a £6million deal on a three-year contract worth around £52,000-a-week.
And Villa are also in talks with West Ham for their Welsh defender Collins,26, over a £5m switch.
O’Neill wants two new centre-backs following Martin Laursen’s retirement and Zat Knight’s switch to Bolton.
But he is willing to let left-back Nicky Shorey out on loan after signing Stephen Warnock from Blackburn.
Shorey played in Villa’s 2-0 win over Fulham but is now expected to join Portsmouth for regular first team football.
