Bolton team news
Bolton manager Gary Megson can recall midfielder Gavin McCann for Sunday's home clash with Manchester City in the Barclays Premier League.
McCann has served the suspension he received after being sent off in last weekend's defeat at Tottenham, missing the defeat against Everton on Wednesday.
Megson admitted his team were "obviously in trouble" after the result against Everton left the Trotters second-bottom in the Premier League, and he could be tempted to make changes.
Provisional squad:
Jaaskelainen, Steinsson, Cahill, Shittu, A O'Brien, Samuel, Gardner, Muamba, Nolan, McCann, J O'Brien, Smolarek, Elmander, Davies, Helguson, Riga, Hunt, Cohen, Fojut, Al Habsi.
Man City team news
Pablo Zabaleta is expected to return from suspension as Manchester City look to bounce back from midweek defeat at Middlesbrough by beating Bolton on Sunday.
The Argentina defender has served a three-match ban following his dismissal against Liverpool and should return at right-back as manager Mark Hughes looks for a stronger defensive performance.
Hughes is hopeful £18million striker Jo will be available after a bout of tonsillitis, although Daniel Sturridge (ankle) is likely to miss out.
Provisional squad: Hart, Schmeichel, Zabaleta, Onuoha, Richards, Dunne, Ben Haim, Garrido, Wright-Phillips, Ireland, Kompany, Elano, Robinho, Jo, Fernandes, Hamann, Evans, Caicedo, Berti.
