Betfred punters get enhanced 4-1 double on Euro 2008 opener

Betfred are offering punters a 4-1 enhanced double - the best available price - on the two opening matches being won by the favourites.
In the opening game the Warrington-based firm make the Czech Republic narrow 6-4 favourites to get the better of hosts Switzerland (7-4), whilst Portugal are red hot 8-11 shots to triumph in their evening kick-off clash against Turkey.
"Many punters believe that the Czech Republic and Portugal only have to turn up to win, but we aren't convinced its going to be as easy as that, " said Betfred spokesman Dave Metcalf.
"Switzerland, as hosts, will be looking to put up a bold show in the opener, so it could be a case of `Czech-mate' and the game ending in a draw so we are happy to offer the extra value and take on the jollies!"
