Birmingham poised for double transfer raid on Rangers

Alex McLeish will launch a double raid on Rangers for Steven Davis and Kris Boyd.
Birmingham boss McLeish is preparing to bring Davis back to the Second City with a £3m bid in the New Year.
Northern Ireland international Davis, 24, began his career at Aston Villa and McLeish is ready to test cash-strapped Rangers’ resolve to keep him.
And striker Boyd is another target under consideration for Big Eck, who is preparing a substantial attack on the January sales.
Boyd, 26, is out of contract this summer and can speak to other clubs in January - but McLeish is weighing up a £1m cut-price deal to bring him to St. Andrew’s.
