Blacburn Rovers in for German stopper Gerhard Tremmel

Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce is in talks with German keeper Gerhard Tremmel about becoming Paul Robinson's new understudy.

Tremmel starred for Energie Cottbus in the Bundesliga last season but can move for a knockdown fee of around £600,000.

Allardyce wants better competition for Robinson and will let long-term reserve Jason Brown move on.
