Blackburn clinch Danny Simpson loan deal

Manchester United defender Danny Simpson has joined Blackburn on a season long loan.

The 21-year-old, who made eight appearances for United last season before ending the campaign on loan at Ipswich, is behind Wes Brown and fit-again Gary Neville in the Old Trafford pecking order.

Simpson, who has also spent spells on loan at Sunderland and Royal Antwerp, is the third signing by Paul Ince since his arrival at Ewood Park, following on from the deals for Paul Robinson and Carlos Villanueva.
