Blackburn in talks with Ivory Coast defender Steve Gohouri

Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is lining up a shock move for Ivory Coast international centre-back Steve Gohouri - as fears grow of a bid for big Chris Samba.
Allardyce is inviting the towering Borussia Monchengladbach defender for talks and a 'test' and could snap him up for a bargain fee from the Bundesliga outfit.
Giant Gohouri, 28, is in the last year of his contract and Borussia will sell him as they want to avoid losing him for nothing next summer.
Allardyce knows that Samba is attracting interest and could be caught up in the late window moves this month - with Everton and even Tottenham among his admirers.
The Rovers chief does not want to be caught without a replacement and he is planning a close look at the 6ft 3in centre back in case he needs to pounce.
Gohouri has had a wandering career, with spells in France, Israel, Italy and Liechtenstein before a big-money move to Germany. He would be keen to come to the Premier League and may find his home in Lancashire.
