Big Sam on collision course with new Rovers owners

Sam Allardyce is set for crunch talks with ­Blackburn’s new Indian owners over the size of his transfer budget – and exactly who he can buy.

Big Sam is keen to source new recruits after poultry giant Venky’s took control of Rovers to boost his kitty for some January arrivals.

But Venky’s had a summit meeting yesterday with their ­footballing advisors, the Kentaro agency, to decide how much is spent and – crucially – who is bought.

Allardyce wants old boy Roque Santa Cruz, among others, and will be gutted if power is taken from him.
