Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is ready to snap up French under-21 midfielder Amine Linganzi from St Etienne in the transfer window.
The powerful 20-year-old has been for talks and is expected to join Rovers - following on their recent success with Steven Nzonzi from the same market.
Linganzi, who was born in Algeria, has played a couple of times for Les Verts but wants to move on and Allardyce's spies think he could be another shock bargain signing.
The 6ft1in starlet could go straight into the Rovers first-team squad where Nzonzi has been one of the major plusses of the campaign.
