Christian Vieri's dream of joining Blackburn Rovers is over - because boss Sam Allardyce thinks he is too out of shape.
The veteran Italian striker spent a week on a fitness assessment course with Rovers but failed to meet the club's standards.
Allardyce is hoping for better news from Chelsea this week - with a season-long loan for Argentinian striker Franco Di Santo set to be agreed.
