Bolton keen to tie up USA star midfielder

Bolton boss Owen Coyle wants to sign United States midfield star Stuart Holden on a full-time deal after his impressive start.
Holden is only on a short-term contract until the summer when he goes to the World Cup, but Coyle has an option to keep him at the Reebok for a further year and is keen to exercise that.
And Wanderers, who have taken to the Aberdeen-born star's all-action enthusiastic style, are likely to take up that clause in the next few weeks.
Holden is a free agent and Coyle wants him nailed down on a long contract if terms can be agreed with his agent. But both camps seem optimistic on an agreement.
