Bolton edge Portsmouth in getting Sam Ricketts signature

Bolton have beaten Portsmouth in the race to sign Welsh international Sam Ricketts.
Ricketts, 27, had a medical in Bolton yesterday after Hull accepted Wanderers' £2million bid. He is flying out to join up with his new team-mates for pre-season training in Germany.
The defender left the KC Stadium after talks with Tigers boss Phil Brown over a new contract stalled.
Bolton boss gary Megson is also ready to splash £4m for Aston Villa's Zat Knight.
