Tottenham picked up their first trophy of the season in Rotterdam yesterday as Darren Bent continues to prove he is the perfect replacement for Robbie Keane.
The £16.5m striker was disappointing last term, where he was behind Keane, Dimitar Berbatov and Jermain Defoe in the pecking order.
But following Defoe's move to Portsmouth and Keane's £20m switch to Liverpool, the former Charlton man has seized his chance to flourish.
He took his pre-season total to 10 goals when he turned his marker to fire past Dortmund's Marc Ziegler in the 10th minute.
Bent almost turned provider eight minutes later when he broke forward but his pass for strike partner Giovani Dos Santos was intercepted.
New boy David Bentley was given a starting place and saw his free-kick saved by Ziegler.
At the other end Michael Dawson was skinned by Nelson Valdez but the striker put his shot wide of Heurelho Gomes' post.
Bent was replaced by Dimitar Berbatov after the break but the Bulgarian failed to spark. Instead, £4.7m new boy Dos Santos and Jamie O'Hara completed the scoring as Spurs picked up the Feyenoord Tournament trophy.
