Bradford feature Hull player on cover of calendar

Bradford City have been forced to shred thousands of copies of their official calendar after a Hull player was featured on the front cover.

The 2012 calendar hit the shops but was recalled immediately after fans spotted Dele Adebola in his Hull City kit on the front.

Adebola did play for the club briefly in a loan spell in 2004 but the picture of him in his Hull shirt made it into the calendar after a designer accidentally cropped the wrong player out of the image.

It is believed he was asked to crop Adebola out, leaving Bantams player Guy Branston in, but got confused by Hull's kit being similar to Bradford's.

A Bradford spokesman said: “It was not sent back for proofing so went straight on sale with the wrong cover.”

Bradford City director of operations David Baldwin added: "They are a collector's item now!"
