Brentford want Premier League probe into Michael Turner transfer

Brentford have confirmed their request for the Premier League to investigate the transfer of former defender Michael Turner from Hull to Sunderland in August.
There has been confusion over the exact fee paid by the Black Cats for the 25-year-old and consequently this has affected the percentage sell-on fees that former clubs Brentford and Charlton are owed.
Turner, having previously been linked with Liverpool and Manchester City, was publicly valued at £12million by Hull during the summer at a time when he had four years remaining on his contract.
However, when Turner did eventually leave the price was officially undisclosed. Perhaps adding to the confusion is the fact Paul McShane moved in the opposite direction, from Sunderland to Hull, at the same time.
