Bristol City make audacious bid for David James

Steve Coppell has made an audacious bid to lure England goalkeeper David James to Bristol City.
James, 39, has been offered a 12-month contract with the Championship club, having turned down a move to Celtic for family reasons.
James is unlikely to be short of offers from bigger clubs, but ambitious Bristol chairman Steve Lansdown hopes to pull off a transfer coup.
Coppell is desperate to boost his squad after missing out on Ipswich Town striker Jon Stead, who failed to agree personal terms at Ashton Gate.
With full-back Bradley Orr on the point of joining Queens Park Rangers and midfielder Paul Hartley likely to move to Aberdeen, the Bristol boss is fast running short of players.
He hopes to sign Bolton defender Nicky Hunt before the end of the week.
