Bryan Robson miracle escape after brick smashes through car windscreen

Soccer legend Bryan Robson had a lucky escape when a brick smashed through the windscreen of his hire car and struck his head "like a bullet".

The former Man United and England skipper - dubbed Captain Marvel - was driving in Cape Town, South Africa, with wife Denise when the rock was hurled up from the road surface by the car in front.

The impact sent shards of glass raining in on the couple as Robbo, 51, fought to keep the car from crashing. The rock caused an egg-sized swelling on his head.

Last night a friend said: "He considers himself very lucky. The rock came at him like a bullet. He's still got a lump on his head, but he's absolutely fine."
