Delighted Torquay manager Paul Buckle praised a 'fantastic' performance from his team as they overpowered League One strugglers Stockport in the FA Cup.
A smart hat-trick from Elliot Benyon and another strike from Scott Rendell booked League Two Torquay a third-round home tie against Brighton next month.
Following the win at Macclesfield's Moss Rose ground, Buckle said: "I'm really pleased, it was a complete performance from us out there. We've played on a good surface here and we've moved and passed the ball around well. If we keep playing like that, we shouldn't be frightened of anyone."
He added: "We've faced a lot of messing around to actually get this game played, but I suppose it's all been worth it in the end.
"We were a few players short - Chris Hargreaves was out, as was Kevin Nicholson and Tim Sills - but we've come here and got it right. It was a fantastic all-round performance from the lads.
"We're moving forward. That's another £27,000 the club gets I think, and we're in the third round again.
"The cup is treating us well, but at present my lads are showing no fear."
On Benyon's first senior hat-trick for the Gulls, Buckle added: "Congratulations to Elliot, he was fantastic.
"If we're honest he could probably have scored more, but I'm sure he'll be well pleased with his efforts, and so he should be."
